Product Photography, A New Adventure

6/11/2011

Yesterday, I got to flex my creative energy by going outside of my portrait photography comfort zone; I photographed some corporate product shots for a line of furniture that is hitting a trade show today!  This product is a new line of furniture inspired, created, and crafted for the "younger crowd".  I look forward to possibly doing more work of this type, as it was challenging but so very fun!  Once more information comes out regarding this new line of furniture, I promise to post a link!  Stop by my FaceBook Page to view more photos.

Look closely at some of the photos, you might recognize a couple of the models in the photos!

Love, love, love this couple and I can't wait to photograph their wedding.  They are fun, sweet, very photogenic and up for anything; can you say, "life of the party."   I just loved the way the look at each other!

Sweet Little Boy

The hardest part of my job...Leaving the location after a newborn session.  I can't even begin to tell you how much I love photographing newborns!  It is hard, real hard and all sessions are different but hey, all babies are different and I love the challenge.

This little man, only 11 days old, was just precious.  So sweet and handsome!  Check out his eye lashes; they will be as long as his brothers.

Think this family looks familiar?  They have graced these pages before.  You can read here.

I had a smile on my face the entire day after leaving this house.  Yes, I just kept thinking back on how wonderful it feels to have a newbie in the house.  I swear the only time I ever really relaxed in my life was when I was holding and staring at my own bundle of joy!  Bliss!  Pure Bliss!

Oh, and did I mention -  it is baby boy number three for this busy family. Yeah, being with them really brought back such wonderful memories.  Thanks guys for a blast down memory lane!  I look forward to watching your beautiful family grow.

A couple of days ago, I mentioned that I would be continuing a journey! Click Here!

Well, it was one Unbelievable/Fun/Awesome journey!  I wish I could post all of the photos so you can see this little man's entire morning but it would take me all day to upload and post every single one…I am so tempted.  Our day started at the Men's Room in Portland for a first haircut with Daddy,  then continued at my client's home with some lifestyle photos and the grand finale - Baby's First Cake!

Here are a couple photos!  Happy Birthday Little Man!

Continuing a Journey - And Telling a New Story!

This blog post originally ran last April and I am re-posting because I am photographing this little fellow again on Saturday.  His mother came up with a wonderful idea for his first birthday photo session but I will not be letting you in on our surprise.  Stay tuned to see how much fun we had documenting a HUGE milestone!  I LOVE MY JOB!

My favorite thing about being a photographer is being able to see a dream develop and a journey begin.  I was fortunate enough to photograph this couple at the start of their journey and now I am so happy that I am able to continue the process.  The beautiful goddess returned with her precious little boy…and so the journey continues!

I look forward to watching this little one grow.

Sometimes They Sit Still

With the winter taking a toll on my mind, body and soul, I have tried to stay as busy as I can.  With that said, I have been focusing on taking color portraits of my children….not simple at all!

It is easy for me to take photos of other people's children, but my own, well, it is a very daunting task.

I wanted to get one good shot of each of my children but I really wanted to capture my middle son; he is a toothless wonder right now and I never want to forget how he looked while missing his two front teeth.  The photo I captured of Luc is not great by any standard, but it will always remind me of how he looked, not to mention, every single time I look at it I can hear him talking with a little lisp.  AWWWW, memories - even the juice mustache and bed head!

My next project to keep me busy…getting the group money shot!  Yeah, I mean all three of them with clean faces and clothes, all smiling and happy to be sitting next to each other.  I will let you know if it pans out!  Feel free to follow my personal photo project - I take one photo a day for 365 days!  I am on my second project.  You can see all of 2010 - HERE and you can see my 2011 progress - HERE!
