Courtney and Chad tied the knot on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 4:30pm at the Eastland Park Hotel in Portland, Maine.  I was lucky enough to be asked to photograph their big day.  Below is just the beginning of their story! 

I promised a small preview before I head off for my last week of the summer with my boys!  I still have tons of photos to view, edit and I am sure - delete.  The process seems never ending, but it is a process that I truly love.  I so enjoy when a story comes together; there is always a beginning, a middle and an end, and of course, I throw in bits and pieces for good measure and to thicken the plot!

I never show a preview of everything, it would be like skipping most of the story and reading the very last page!  Oh, no…I always save the very end for the bride and groom!  Hope you like the story so far!  Psssttttt…it gets really, really good!  

Huge thanks to my friend and fellow photographer, Tracy Lydon!  I made it through the day because of her smile, her wit, and her unbelievable energy!

Love, love, love this couple and I can't wait to photograph their wedding.  They are fun, sweet, very photogenic and up for anything; can you say, "life of the party."   I just loved the way the look at each other!

The wedding I photographed a couple of weeks ago that I have been raving about, while the bride and groom returned from their honeymoon to Aruba and I now have permission (yes, I asked) to share with you a couple more photographs,

I am not sure if I mentioned this BUT this was my first wedding that I was actually paid to photograph.  I LOVE photographing weddings and hope to secure a couple more in 2011!  If you know anyone tying the knot, please send them my way.  I am not your traditional wedding photographer (no gold foil stamped photos here in albums that look like they were printed in 1970) but I will promise a package that is soft and sweet and one that you will cherish for years and years to come.  

Lindsay, I can't thank you enough for asking me to photograph your wedding.  Thanks for being my guinea pig, for allowing me to make mistakes, for giving me an opportunity to learn, and for helping me grow my skills, my business and for helping me nourish my creative gene…it has been suppressed for a very long time.  I will never be able to thank you enough!

Again, I sit here wanting to share an entire wedding album but I know that I must save the goods for the bride and groom.  I had a wonderful time photographing Monica and Ty's wedding on 10.10.10!  These two beautiful people are special and I mean special ~ Gracious, Loving, Polite and did I say SWEET!  

Monica and Ty met while serving our country in Iraq!  I am so thankful and proud that they asked me to document their day.  Their ceremony was very poignant and the toasting at the reception…well, let's just say that my waterproof mascara did not work!  Thanks again, Monica and Ty for making my job so enjoyable.

I can't tell you how much I want to share so many photos of the beautiful wedding I photographed this weekend but I must wait until the bride and groom return from their honeymoon.  However, I think my followers need to see just a peek of this wonderful day.  It was the perfect New England Fall Wedding and the bride totally set the tone for the joyous day by not neglecting a thing.  She has such an amazing artistic eye for the details!

First, let me start by saying, I had the best time EVER photographing a wedding this past weekend. I am still in the process of editing all the photos but I just had to share two shots from a candid session I did at the reception.  

I surprised the bride a groom with a little photo game ~ everyone joined in and had a blast posing for the shots.  Here are two photographs that pretty much sum up the game!  

Oh, the love, the energy, the enthusiasm and the smiles!  I can't wait to share more photos of this wedding.  The bride and the groom were heavenly to work with and their friends and family so much fun!
