Friends and Family | Ft. Williams Family Session | Portland, Maine Lifestyle Photographer 11/22/2011
I spent some time with a friend… Yes, the beautiful mother in the following photographs is my friend. We have know each other for almost 20 years. I can't believe that I just typed 20 years. It seems just like yesterday we were both working for Ralph Lauren! Oh, the fruitful 90's - What a decade; we were young, independent, we traveled tons, we worked really really hard and we hung with some fabulous people. I should also mention that this client is somewhat responsible for me marrying my husband. Yes, she might have pushed the issue just a little; my husband also worked for Ralph Lauren and they were good friends and co-workers! Any way, this was a special session for me and one that I enjoyed so very much! Thanks, my dear friend, for asking me to document this day through photographs; I had a blast and loved watching your family through my lens! You guys have something really great going on! So here is a preview! I want to add every single photo…. To view more photos from this session, please visit johnna brooke photography on Facebook. This is my second year in a row photographing their family and I am hoping to do it year after year until they both head off to college! The photos that I am sharing right now are some of my favorites from their session. I like the silly photos, the candids and the photos that capture fleeting moments; that is what life is all about - the small little moments. Williams, Cape Elizabeth Family Photography | Maine Child Photographer 11/03/2011
Today, I had a play date with a very handsome and active three year old. We visited an old fort, hiked some trails, played on a playscape, walked to a duck pond and even threw some rocks into the ocean; I had a blast. I loved this session. Notice that there are no real posed shots, all the photos that were captured today were candids. I love every single photo that came out of my camera and wish I could post them all so that everyone can see that there is no need to get stressed during a photo session - be you and let your children be who they are. I promise to capture some memorable shots! Thanks friends for a repeat session and for allowing me to hang with you today. I can't wait to do it again next year! By the way, Happy Birthday to one very adorable three year old. Peace ~ Johnna Brooke Fort Williams Photography | Greater Portland, Maine Child and Family Photographer | Maine Lifestyle Photographer I had so much fun on this early morning photo shoot at Gilsland farm in Falmouth, Maine with this wonderful family; I smiled the entire time I was shooting and editing their session. The light changed around every corner while we hiked the fields at Gilsland Farm, providing different challenges but giving beautiful results. It is so wonderful to be able to do a job and really enjoy it. There were so many great photos that I had a very hard time picking which ones to keep and which ones to delete. I am having even a harder time selecting the photos to share on this blog. Hope you enjoy. Peace ~ Johnna Brooke Greater Portland Maine Family and Lifestyle Photography | Gilsland Farm Photo Session | Maine Child Photographer | Maine Family PhotographerI have photographed this family on several occasions and after every session I leave with a huge smile on my face. Yes, it might be the fact that we have a connection; we both have three busy and happy little boys. However, just look at the faces on everyone in the pictures and you will get it - their smiles are contagious! Peace ~ Johnna Brooke Ft. Williams - Cape Elizabeth, Maine Photography | Greater Portland Maine PhotographerThis was a surprise group photo session. "Happy Birthday!" What more could a grandmother ask for on her birthday? Being all sappy and sentimental, I truly loved photographing this session. It is my hope that these memories will be enjoyed for generations to come. A couple of days ago, I mentioned that I would be continuing a journey! Click Here! Well, it was one Unbelievable/Fun/Awesome journey! I wish I could post all of the photos so you can see this little man's entire morning but it would take me all day to upload and post every single one…I am so tempted. Our day started at the Men's Room in Portland for a first haircut with Daddy, then continued at my client's home with some lifestyle photos and the grand finale - Baby's First Cake! Here are a couple photos! Happy Birthday Little Man! Happy Birthday, Little Man! I look forward to capturing your sweet, sweet smile for many years to come!
